An Old Couch

First and foremost I hope that this makes sense, if it doesn't oh well it was for someone else, I just felt strongly like I needed to write this.......so here ya go.

So today I was puling out of the location in which i work, or my "Job" as the kids these days call it. As I was pulling out I saw across the street an old rugged roughed up couch on the side of the road and i thought to myself, "What if an old couch portrayed God in all of his ways?".  Now your probably thinking that i am trying to say that God is not perfect and is not comfortable for people, but I am not trying to say that at all!

When I saw this couch I pondered on it for the whole way home, What would a God look like if He was a couch? Honestly most people would probably think of a huge nice elaborate couch that has nice detail and dangly things on the bottom and covered in gold, I do believe that he would look like that, but to our Christian lives I believe he would look different.  I believe that if God was a devout Christians couch He would look like an older family couch.

The reason I believe this is because old family couches are hands down the best couches ever, they are so fluffy and broken into, you can't help but take a second to relax and sit down on one. New couches are never as comfortable as a older couch because they are broken into, and don't feel like you sitting on a fluffy rock.  If God was a couch for a Christian that couch would have so many amazing characteristics. There would always be some treasure underneath the cushions. In other words little billy would always be able to look underneath the cushions to find some dollar bills just for him that his father had left for him. Underneath the cushions is like when you first reline that the Heavens are open to us all the time and we can always go looking for new revelation, new wine, and more fire in Heaven.

God is very comfortable for Christians. When you sit down on an old couch you sink down deep into the heart of it and it almost feels as if it is rapping its arms around you. God wraps his arms around you when you get saved and He teaches you to rest in His finished works, or "The Old Couch" in this sense. Though this blog probably isn't making very much sense to you, it was really heavy on my heart today so I hope somehow you can understand this.

An old couch revives you when you take a nap on it. You wake up fresh and awake, ready to take on the world. God en-powers us to be filled with his Holy Spirit and introduce others to our couch, just nights of hanging out laughing your heads off, and eating noodles with butter! God teaches us to introduce others to Him in a great amazing way, by Healing, testimonies, prophecies, and love drunk times. People don't realize how fun old couches are, you can jump and laugh on them, rest on them, and eat lots of food on them. Old couches are where its at! God wants us to eat his word and laugh in the bliss and Joy of his word, while eating new revelation; or noddles and butter!  The point of this blog is just to teach who's reading this just to have fun with God and rest in his smile of you. He's happy and is calling you to enjoy his presence with friends and He will cook up some noodles and butter to for ya! I hope you like this blog, it's kind of crazy. If there is any confusion comment on this blog and I'll try and clear it up for you. I'll just leave you with these words, God's a comfy used couch and he is calling you to take a nap and then awake from your slumber of the world you once knew.
